Esteemed competition shooters, Dear crossbow shooting friends

Last December 2011, still had not found an organiser for the 16th Crossbow World Championship 2012. However, the Swiss Association tried to save the event and, within the short time that remained, proceeded with the organisation of the world championship. They had been looking for competent committee members as well as a suitable venue.
The ASG Wil / SG (Switzerland), under the lead of Stefan Haag, offered itself for a second time (1991) to host the event. Furthermore, we have been able to enlist sufficient committee members to ensure that the most important posts are filled.

On 23rd March 2012 the Central Committee of the EASV gave the green light for the organisation of 16th Crossbow World Championship. On the 24th March 2012 Andreas Burkhalter, president of the EASV, communicated this decision to the delegates of the EASV. The IAU was informed at the same time.

The incumbent World and European champions and all shooters will find optimum firing ranges in Wil. The varied programme should appeal to competitors and spectators alike. We encourage all spectators to take part in the opening and closing ceremonies. Details will follow later in the news.
